We use Magi Astrology to look into the fiery end of airship travel

The Hindenburg was an airship filled with hydrogen, making it highly flammable
HINDENBURG DISASTER: This is a representation of the loss of the airship

The fiery end of hydrogen airships

Today it’s difficult to imagine why anybody would want to pay good money to travel across the Atlantic Ocean on a flying German bomb. Sure, it was a three-day passage conducted in great luxury and it was peak technology in action. Besides, if you enjoyed a bit of limelight it must have been like being on the Oprah Winfrey show today.

But if you’re not a narcissist and reasonably well informed, then this is a strange choice.

The drawback was the hydrogen, a highly flammable gas, massive volumes of which kept the airship aloft. The Germans originally planned to use helium, which isn’t flammable, but large volumes of helium was only available in the United States who refused to sell it to Germany and so the Nazi swastika-adorned airship took to the skies filled with hydrogen.

Many other nations had already moved away from using hydrogen due to fiery crashes.

During its lifetime – one year, two months and two days – the Hindenburg made several successful trips and since Chiron was only discovered in 1977, the astrologers of the day wouldn’t have known that the disaster was all but guaranteed.

A problematic birth chart

Yes, the birthday of an aircraft is the day it first flies, just as the birthday of a ship is the day it’s launched into the water – and astrologers can make predictions on what will happen to the craft based on the planetary alignments on that day.

The first flight chart of the Hindenburg warned about a potential disaster
BIRTH CHART: The Hindenburg first flight chart was problematic

The first flight of the Hindenburg took place on a day (Sun) of frustrating (square) loss (Saturn) of life (Chiron). However, since Chiron was discovered in 1977, the astrologers of the day would only have been aware of the Saturn conjunct the Sun aspect.

Saturn conjunct the Sun can be interpreted as Day of Tragedy, Day of Science, Day of Control and so forth.

If you were in control of what was happening and if you had a scientific bent, then you'd probably go for "tragedy," given massive volume of flammable gas being involved.

However, it would take more than a year before the disastrous potential was realized.

Loss of life as Hindenburg catches fire

While in the process of landing in New Jersey, the Hindenburg caught fire, crashing to the ground and being totally destroyed in a moment. Out of the 97 people on board, 35 were killed. There was an additional fatality on the ground.

The potential disaster in the Hindenburg chart was activated on the day that the airship crashed
HINDENBURG CRASH: A total of 36 people died as a result of the crash

On the day that the Hindenburg crashed there was an alignment in the sky between the Saturn/Chiron midpoint and Uranus - this can be interpreted as "loss of life" (Saturn/Chiron) in aviation (Uranus). It just so happened that this alignment activated the Hindenburg's own alignment between the Sun, Saturn and Chiron. Thus the "loss of life" interpretation in the natal chart was activated by the transiting counterpart, making it a reality. Note that the Saturn/Chiron midpoint was also contraparallel Saturn in the declinations.

Zodiac 7 Xanthus activation

Having the fast-moving Xanthus, which can represent mass murder, aspect the natal Neptune, which represents longevity, in the 7:th harmonic astrology is not good.

This was an exact aspect on the day of the crash.

XANTHUS TRANSIT: Xanthus was in aspect to Neptune in the Zodiac 7 chart.
XANTHUS TRANSIT: Xanthus was in aspect to Neptune in the Zodiac 7 chart.
