Today we are celebrating one of our favorite ice hockey players, Alexander Ovechkin, who has become the first player in NHL history to have scored 900 goals.

Born in Russia, “Alexander the Great” plays as left winger and captain of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.

He’s known for his powerful shot, physical style of play, and outstanding goal-scoring ability, often described as a hybrid of European finesse and North American toughness.

Alex is a power-play specialist who has adapted his game to remain one of the league's top scorers throughout his career. 

In 2017, he named as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players of all time.

Sports ability from an early age

We will look at the Magi Astrology of Alex Ovechkin to see if we can identify the sports abilities that his mother Tatyana Ovechkina says were prevalent from an early age.

She said Alexander was two years old when he first picked up a hockey stick.
